Sigma Chi is unique among Greek organizations. Not only have we grown for over 150 years through wars, depressions, and dramatic changes in the college scene, but we have also remained true to the Seven Ideals given to us by our founders, and the Three Great Aims of our fraternity - friendship, justice, and learning. They are the glue that binds us together and the rallying cry that pushes us to personally ascend to greater heights.

The Central Province was part of a joined Province Workshop over the weekend of February 12,2011. There were chapters from Kansas and Missouri in attendance as well. The opening began Saturday morning at the Double Tree Hotel, during which we heard from our Grand Consul, Wayne Tucker. After a few short stories, we split up into our breakout sessions. One of our 10 members attended a different session, spanning everything from the Consul workshop and the Risk Management session to an open forum on Chapter Finance. The weekend endeavor was one that we gained from, but were more so able to give back to our Fraternity. Sharing our ideas with other Sigma Chi brothers, we helped spread our improvements to the entire province.

SunValley Lanes was our choice for this month's brotherhood event. Put together by our Brotherhood Chair, Brendon Boyle, we all met at the bowling alley for a night of a little competitive fun.
There were some clear ringers, with the expertise of former consul Brad Staskiewicz and alumni Alex Micek. Then also came the apparent strangers to the lanes, actives Kevin Galvin and Ray Peterson. The night was a successful one, with over 75% of the active chapter in attendance.
